In order to ensure that learners will receive quality instruction in an online setting, it is important to have a Learning Management System (LMS) that will provide the proper platform. Some of the important features include ease of use and functionality.
As the organization leader, you have completed a comparison of several learning management systems. In your previous assignment, you compared LMSs and then selected the LMS you want to use as part of your instructional plan.
In this assignment you are to write a 4–6 page paper in which you complete the following:
- Discuss the LMS that you will be using in your department. Include in your discussion:
- The name of the LMS (Canvas, D2L/Brightspace, Blackboard Learn).
- Key features of the selected LMS that helped lead to your selection, including ease of use and functionality.
- How the platform will be used within the instructional plan.
- Two reasons why this platform will work better than others that you compared.
- Be sure to integrate the information you collected in the previous assignment.
- Explain the training required for the selected LMS. Be sure to include the timeframe of training for each role you identified in your demographics in the previous assignment.
- Explain how you will present the LMS to key stakeholders involved in the department. Key stakeholders you will include are:
- Organization leadership
- Support your rationale with scholarly research, using three sources to support your writing. Choose sources that are credible, relevant, and appropriate.
